We are delighted to invite you to the grand celebration of Sri Sri Durga Puja 2024 at Sri Ramakrishna Math, Madurai. The event will be held during the auspicious days of Navaratri, from 4th to 13th October 2024.

On 7th September 2024, Ramakrishna Math, Madurai, celebrated Vinayaka Chaturthi with a morning Puja for Bhagavan Sri Ganesh. Evening Arati, Vinayakar Agaval, Bhajans, and Kozhukattai prasadam marked the festive occasion.

On August 26, 2024, Madurai Math celebrated Sri Krishna Jayanti with Special Puja, Bhajans, Discourse, Sri Shyam Nama Sankirtanam and Special Arati. Around 100 devotees attended the celebration.

On August 11, 2024, Ramakrishna Math, Madurai, hosted the Thiruvasagam Mutrothal, a spiritual event focused on Lord Siva worship. This devotional practice involved the complete recitation of the Thiruvasagam, a collection of Tamil hymns by 9th-century Shaiva poet-saint Manikkavasagar.

On 21st July 2024, Ramakrishna Math, Madurai, celebrated Guru Purnima with great devotion and enthusiasm. The event saw participation from around 700 devotees who gathered to express their gratitude and respect to their Guru.

On Sunday, April 7th, 2024, Ramakrishna Math Madurai held a special program in honor of the Most Revered Srimat Swami Smarananandaji Maharaj, the 16th President of the Ramakrishna Math and Mission, who attained Mahasamadhi on March 26th, 2024.

Ramakrishna Math Madurai celebrated Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishna's 189th Jayanti with Mangalarati, puja, Homa, and Bhajans. Swami Prabhupremananda delivered a discourse. Prasad distributed to 640 devotees.

On 8th March 2024, we celebrated Maha Sivaratri at our Math with a night-long Special Puja and Bhajan session, starting from 7.00 pm and concluding at 5.00 am. Devotees poured milk (Abhishekam) to the Shiva Linga after the first Prahara Puja.

The Maha Sivaratri celebration will be observed at Sri Ramakrishna Math, Madurai, on 8th March 2024. மதுரை ஸ்ரீராமகிருஷ்ண மடத்தில் 8 மார்ச் 2024 அன்று மகா சிவராத்திரி விழா கொண்டாடப்படவுள்ளது.

Ramakrishna Math Madurai celebrated Swami Vivekananda's 162nd Jayanti with bhajans, and rituals starting at 5:00 am. Special events included a puja, Homa, Rudram chanting, and a procession with students and teachers carrying Vivekananda's portrait. Swami Arkaprabhananda delivered a discourse.

Madurai Math organized a Thiruvilakku Puja to commemorate the consecration of Sri Ram Mandir at Ayodhya. The temple was adorned with oil lamps. Sri Ramanama Sankirtanam and Bhajans were sung after evening Arati.

On Wednesday, January 3, 2024, Ramakrishna Math Madurai celebrated the 171st Jayanti (birthday) of Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi. The day unfolded with Mangalarati, Vedic chants, and bhajans. Devotees engaged in Temple Pradakshina, a sacred circumambulation, from 6:30 am to 7:20 am.

Kalpataru Day at Ramakrishna Math Madurai began with a special puja, bhajan, and homa. Swami Vimokshanandaji gave a discourse on the significance of the day. Devotees meditated and performed Japa in the afternoon, and the day concluded with Arati and special bhajans.

On December 10, 2023, the Ramakrishna Math in Madurai hosted a profound spiritual event - the Japa Yajnam. The purpose of the gathering was to encourage the devotees to practice Nama Japa for long hours.

On the 24th of November, 2023, Ramakrishna Math, Madurai celebrated this auspicious occasion with great devotion and joy. A grand Deepam was then lit in the temple prayer hall around 6 pm, symbolizing the presence of the Supreme Light within and without.

Deepavali, the festival of lights, holds a special place in the hearts of millions. The Math observed a grand celebration with the performance of Sri Sri Kali Puja, making the occasion memorable for all attendees. 

On 28th October 2023, Sri Sri Lakshmi Puja was celebrated at Sri Ramakrishna Math, Madurai. The event began with a special puja to Sri Sri Lakshmi Devi, followed by bhajans and Nama Sankirtan. The highlight was the special Arati to Sri Sri Lakshmi Devi at 8:45 pm, followed by Pushpanjali.

Sri Durga Puja especially known as Navaratri in Tamil Nadu, was celebrated grandly in our Ramakrishna Math, Madurai, from 15th October 2023 to 24th October 2023. Special Talk, Chanting, Bhajan and Special puja were conducted. View the glimpses of Navaratri.
