Ramakrishna Math Charitable Dispensary

The Charitable dispensary run by Ramakrishna Math Madurai offers free medical services to the underprivileged. It has two clinics, one for allopathy and one for homeopathy, where patients can consult qualified doctors and get medicines for free. It also conducts a free eye camp every third Sunday of the month, where people can get their eyes checked and receive spectacles or surgery if needed. In addition, it organizes health awareness programmes from time to time to educate the public about various health issues and preventive measures.

Allopathic Clinic

The allopathy clinic offers a wide range of services, including general medicine, pediatric (for children), diabetology (for diabetes), and dermatology (for skin diseases). The clinic is open every day except Friday and Sunday, and there is no charge for treatment.

Homeopathic Clinic

The homeopathy clinic offers a wide range of services, including treatment for common ailments, chronic diseases, and mental health problems. The clinic is open on Fridays only, and there is no charge for treatment.

Eye Clinic

Every month, on the third Sunday, Ramakrishna Math in Madurai hosts a free eye camp for the benefit of the local community. The eye camp is a collaborative effort between Ramakrishna Math and Aravind Eye Care Hospitals, one of the leading eye care institutions in Madurai.

The eye camp offers free consultations and checkups by a team of qualified and experienced doctors and nurses from Aravind Eye Care. The beneficiaries also receive free spectacles if needed and are referred for cataract surgeries at Aravind Eye Care Hospital in Madurai.
