Kalpataru Day: Celebrating the Divine Grace of Sri Ramakrishna

Kalpataru Day is a sacred occasion that commemorates the day when Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishna, manifested his divine power and blessed his devotees with spiritual awakening. On 1st January 2024, Ramakrishna Math Madurai celebrated this auspicious day with great devotion and joy. The morning session started with a Special puja, Bhajan, followed by Homa, and a discourse by Swami Vimokshanandaji, who explained the significance of Kalpataru Day and how to receive the grace of Sri Ramakrishna in our lives. Nearly 485 devotees participated in the morning session and received the cooked prasad at the end.

The temple was kept open from 2:00 pm onwards, for devotees to sit and do mediation and Japa on the auspicious time when Sri Ramakrishna, revealed Himself and blessed the devotees on January 1st 1886. Hundreds of devotees spent in Japa and Meditation, feeling the presence of Sri Ramakrishna in their hearts.

The evening session started with Arati and special Bhajans that were sung up to 8:00 pm. The devotees felt uplifted and inspired by the celebration of Kalpataru Day and prayed to Sri Ramakrishna for his blessings on their spiritual journey.

Kalpataru Day is a day of joy, gratitude and surrender to the supreme will of Sri Ramakrishna, who is the source of infinite love, peace and bliss.
