On Wednesday, January 3, 2024, Ramakrishna Math Madurai celebrated the 171st Jayanti (birthday) of Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi. The day unfolded with Mangalarati, Vedic chants, and bhajans. Devotees engaged in Temple Pradakshina, a sacred circumambulation, from 6:30 am to 7:20 am.
A special puja commenced at 6:30 am, followed by a Homa at 10:15 am. From 8:30 am to 10:30 am Special Bhajans and Sri Sarada Devi Nama Sankirtanam were sung.
Swami Prabhupremananda shared insights into the life and teachings of Sri Sarada Devi in a thoughtful discourse, providing spiritual nourishment to the gathering. At 12:30 pm, a special Arati marked a midday interlude, followed by the distribution of cooked Prasad to around 800 devotees, symbolizing a gesture of love and spiritual nourishment.
As evening approached, the divine ambiance continued with special bhajans, echoing through the premises until 8:00 pm. These melodic devotions served as a tranquil conclusion to a day filled with spiritual resonance.
