Navaratri Festival - from 26th September to 5th October 2022
Sri Durga Puja especially known as Navaratri in Tamil Nadu, was celebrated grandly in our Ramakrishna Math, Madurai, from 26th September 2022 to 5th October 2022.
Kolu – Display of Idols
Kolu, a local custom of artistically displaying the idols of various Gods and Goddess was arranged in Math’s auditorium. Our School children from the 5th class explained stories about God and Goddess to the public who ever visited the Kolu Mandapam (where God and Goddess idols were arranged).
Special Talk
Rev. Swami Kamalatmananda Maharaj delivered a series of lectures on the topic Glory of the Divine Mother from 25th September 2022 to 30th September 2022.
Chanting & Bhajan
During all days of Navaratri, Sri Devi Mahatmyam (Sri Chandi) Parayanam was performed in the morning. Bhajan and Nama sankeertanam were sung by monastics monring and evening. A good number of devotees participated on all the days.
Panchami - Ghatasthapana
Ghatasthapana – the invoking of Goddess Sri Durga in pot was done on 30th September 2022, Panchami day.
Maha Sashti
Special Bhajan was rendered by students of Sarada Vidyala at 5:30 pm
Maha Saptami
On Maha Saptami day, Sri Lalita Sahashranama Archana was performed with Vermillion (Kumkum), just before evening Prayer. Hundreds of devotees also participated in Archana.

During the time of Sandhi Puja, (4:14 pm to 5:02 pm) hundreds of devotees sat silently at temple and engaged in prayers and Japa.
Students of Free Tuition Centre rendered Bhajan in the evening at 5:45 pm
