A 10-day spiritual celebration at Ramakrishna Math Madurai
The Navaratri celebration at Ramakrishna Math, Madurai, was observed with great devotion and enthusiasm from 22nd September to 2nd October 2025. The ten-day festival was filled with spiritual fervour and devotion, drawing a large number of devotees every day.
Daily Worship & Chanting
Every morning, devotees participated in the Sri Devi Mahatmyam Parayanam (Sri Chandi), reciting the sacred verses with devotion and reverence.
Bhajans & Nama Sankirtanam
Monks and devotees offered Bhajans and Nama Sankirtanam during both morning and evening sessions, creating a deeply devotional atmosphere throughout the Math premises.

- “The Glory of the Goddess” – 29 Sep (7:15–8:00 PM) & 1 Oct (5:30–6:15 PM)
Special Puja Days
Maha Saptami: Sri Lalita Sahasranama Archana with Vermillion was conducted before evening prayers.
Maha Ashtami: A special Puja and Homa dedicated to Sri Ramakrishna was held. Around 470 devotees partook of the Lunch Prasad.
On Vijaya Dasami Day, the ‘Akshara Abhyasam’ ceremony was conducted in the morning, initiating 52 children into formal education. Later, during the evening, from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm, the traditional Ghata Visarjan (immersion of the sacred pot) ritual was performed, symbolizing the conclusion of the Navaratri worship. After the evening Arati, Shanti Jal was sprinkled on the devotees, and Prasad was distributed to all, marking the end of the ten-day celebration.
Cultural & Devotional Music
As part of the festivities, special musical performances of devotional songs were rendered by students and teachers from various institutions:

Bommai Kolu Display
A beautiful Bommai Kolu display was arranged in the auditorium, depicting scenes from sacred stories. Students of Sarada Vidyalaya narrated the stories to visitors, while students from other schools in Madurai also visited and participated in the celebration.
The Navaratri celebrations 2025 at Ramakrishna Math, Madurai, concluded with gratitude and joy, leaving devotees spiritually uplifted through worship, music, and devotion.
