Navaratri - Sri Sri Durga Puja

Sri Sri Durga Puja was celebrated with solemnity, It was started on Amavasya day, 17.10.2020. During Navaratri and Vijaya Dasami days, i.e 17th to 25th October, Sri Devimahatmyam (Sri Chandi) chanting was conducted in the morning and special Bhajan was held in the evening after arati. 


Kolu, a local custom of artistically displaying the idols of gods and goddesses was arranged (during Navaratri days) in our temple Natmandir. A similar Kolu was also arranged in our Sarada Vidyalaya school by our School staff.


On Maha Saptami day, Divine Mother's Sahasra Nama Archana was performed with Vermilion (Kumkumam), after evening prayer. On Maha Ashtami day, special Puja, Homa and Bhajan was conducted . Prasad was distributed to all the devotees after the arathi at 12.00 p.m.


On Vijaya Dasami day, in the morning, 'Akshraabhyasam' – a ceremony to initiate small children into formal school education was performed at the school prayer hall. 22 Children were initiated by our Adhyaksha Maharaj by writing 'OM' on paddy.


On Vijaya Dasami day after evening arati, Shanti-Jal was sprinkled on the devotees present. Adhyaksha Swami Kamalatmanandaji briefed about the importance of Sri Sri Durga worship to the devotees and Prasad - sweets, fruits & vermilion- were distributed to assembled 100 devotees
