Ramakrishna Math, Madurai, celebrated Tamil New Year on April 14, 2026, with a series of spiritual programs.
The day’s events began at 5:00 AM with Mangala Arati, Suprabhatham, and Vedic chanting. A special puja and devotional singing followed at 7:00 AM.
10:15 AM: A Homa (fire ritual) was conducted.
11:15 AM: Swami Arkaprabhananda delivered a discourse on the importance of reading "The Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna" as a daily spiritual practice.
12:15 PM: The morning session concluded with a Special Arati and Pushpanjali.
Following the Arati, cooked prasad and sweets were served to approximately 550 people.
The evening session began with the Sandhya Arati at 6:30 PM, followed by Bhajans until 8:00 PM, bringing the day’s spiritual observances to a peaceful close
