Commemorating Swami Vivekananda's Birth Anniversary
Conch Blowing Ceremony:
The day commenced with a serene Conch Blowing Ceremony at the statue of Swami Vivekananda, elegantly adorned in front of the Math campus. Precisely at 6:33 am, the auspicious birth time of Swamiji, devotees gathered to witness an Arati, resonating with the melodic sound of conch shells. The atmosphere was filled with spiritual fervour as Namavalis and Bhajans echoed, and everyone offered floral tributes to Swamiji. Approximately 30 devotees participated, creating a harmonious start to the day.
Youth Convention:
To extend the celebration beyond the Math campus, we invited 11 institutions to partake in the National Youth Day programme. A total of 1304 students from higher secondary schools and colleges enthusiastically joined the event. Swami Kamalatmananda delivered a blessings talk, and Swami Arkaprabhananda provided a keynote address, emphasizing Swami Vivekananda’s profound teachings. Special speakers delved into the life and philosophy of Swami Vivekananda, enriching the students with valuable insights. The students of Sarada Viyavanam Madurai added a musical touch by singing soul-stirring songs about Swami Vivekananda.
As a token of inspiration, we distributed a Tamil book titled “Enathu Bharatam Amara Bharatam” (My India The India Eternal) to all participating students.
