Swami Vivekananda’s Birth Day- Conch Blowing Event:
We celebrated the National Youth Day (The Birthday of Swami Vivekananda according to English Calendar) on 12th January 2022. Swami Vivekananda’s 6½ foot statue was beautifully decorated near the entrance of Math Bookstall. Morning at 6.31 am the exact time of birth of Swami Vivekananda, Arati was performed with blowing of Conch shells. Around 40 devotees took part in the event.
National Youth Day Programme:
Owing to the ongoing covid 19 pandemics we celebrated the National Youth Day programme on a small scale. A Personality Development Camp on the Topic NATIONAL YOUTH DAY, was conducted between 9.45 am and 12.45 pm Around 221 participants mainly students from Sarada Vidya Vanam Hr.Sec. School and College students (both boys and girls) from 4 different colleges participated in it. All the participants were given a Rs.200/- worth book, ‘Mahangalin Ponmozhigal-1000’ Vol-1 and were served lunch prasad at the end of the programme.
Swami Kamalatmananda, Swami Tatprabhananda, Swami Shivayogananda of Chinmaya Mission and Auditor Adhiseshan were the resource persons.
They gave lectures and guided students from Life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda.
