Kalpataru Day was celebrated in our Madurai Math on Sunday 1st January 2023. The celebrations started with Mangalarati followed by Vedic chanting and bhajans. Special puja began at 6:30 am and Homam was performed around 10.30 am. Bhajans were sung during the Puja time. Swami Kamalatmananda delivered a special talk on Kalpataru Sri Ramakrishna. After the Arati at 12:30 pm, the cooked Prasad was served to around 450 devotees at the end.
Temple was open for devotees to spend time on Japa and meditation at 3:00 p.m., the auspicious time when Sri Ramakrishna, revealed Himself and blessed the devotees on January 1st 1886. Hundreds of devotees spent in Japa and Meditation.
After evening Arati, special Bhajans were sung up to 8:00 pm.
