Workshop on Vedic Mathematics Held at Ramakrishna Math Sarada Vidyalaya
A three-day workshop on Vedic Mathematics for teachers was conducted from April 28 to 30, 2025, at the Ramakrishna Math Sarada Vidyalaya Matriculation School premises, Madurai. The event was organized in collaboration with South Tamil Nadu Vidya Bharathi.
The workshop began with puja and prayer, followed by inaugural addresses by Sri V. Nallasivan, Secretary of Vidya Bharati (South Tamil Nadu), Dr. M. Premanathan, Programme Coordinator, and the Principal of Sarada Vidyalaya.
Dr. M. Nagaraj, Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Vivekananda College, led the sessions and provided hands-on training in fundamental Vedic Math techniques such as addition, subtraction, and multiplication.
The sessions were held daily from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm. A total of 67 teachers from 13 different schools in Madurai participated in the workshop. Certificates of participation were distributed to all attendees at the conclusion of the program.
The workshop aimed to equip teachers with practical tools to make mathematics easier and more engaging for students.
