Ramakrishna Math, Madurai held an engaging Summer Cultural Training Camp for children from April 20 to May 06, 2026. The camp aimed to inspire character development and foster a love for spiritual values. A total of 75 enthusiastic young participants (aged 8 to 13 years) attended the event.
The camp was structured into four enriching daily sessions, packed with activities that the children thoroughly enjoyed.
Camp Schedule & Sessions
- Session 1: Bhajans & Slokas – Led by Swami Gunarnavananda Maharaj and Swami Mathrusevananda Maharaj, who taught children devotional songs and slokas along with their meanings.
- Session 2: Hindi & Bhagavad Gita – Conducted by Mrs. M. D. Kalyani Mai and Mrs. S. Senthilkumari, sharing their expertise with the young minds.
- Session 3: Games & History – A fun mix of activities featuring games on alternate days and inspiring talks about India's freedom fighters on the other days.
- Session 4: Spiritual Stories – Captivating storytelling sessions designed to impart deep moral values.
The camp also featured specialized rotational blocks:
- First 4 Days: Moral video sessions.
- Next 4 Days: Creative craft classes.
- Final 6 Days: Healthy yoga classes.
Conclusion
The Camp Concluded with distributing encouragement prizes to recognize and motivate active participants by Swami Nityadipananda Maharaj.The children left the camp with joyful memories, deeper faith, and a stronger foundation in culture and values.
