24th April – 10th May 2025
Ramakrishna Math in Madurai held an engaging Summer Cultural Training Camp for children from April 24 to May 10, 2025. The camp aimed to inspire character development and foster a love for spiritual values. A total of 85 enthusiastic young participants, aged between 8 and 13 years, attended the event.
The camp was thoughtfully structured into five enriching sessions:
In the first session, Swami Mathrusevananda and Swami Gunarnavananda taught children devotional bhajans and slokas along with their meanings, helping them connect with spiritual practices.
The second session, led by Mrs. Mahalakshmi and Mrs. Amirtha, introduced students to spoken Sanskrit, sparking interest in the classical language.
The third session was a delightful mix of games on alternate days and inspiring stories of freedom fighters on the others, aimed at instilling patriotism and team spirit.
In the fourth session, children enjoyed captivating spiritual stories that conveyed moral lessons in an engaging manner.
The final session included moral video screenings, craft classes, and yoga training, offering a wholesome and balanced experience that nurtured both mind and body.
The camp concluded with encouragement prizes distributed by Swami Nityadipananda Maharaj to recognize and motivate active participants.
Children left the camp with joyful memories, deeper faith, and a stronger foundation in culture and values.
