Pada Puja to Parents by Students of Sarada Vidyalaya
A solemn and devotional Matru Puja (Worship of Mothers or Fathers) ceremony was organized at Ramakrishna Math, Madurai, on Tuesday, 31 March 2026. The event was conducted by the students of Ramakrishna Math Sarada Vidyalaya, Madurai, who reverentially worshipped their mothers (or fathers) as living manifestations of the Divine.
The event was attended by 61 students and 80 parents.
Event Program & Highlights
Opening: The program began with a prayer song by girls from the 4th and 5th classes, followed by a welcome speech from Nishanth Prabhu (8th standard).
Blessings: The Adhyaksha Maharaj delivered the benedictory address.
Story & Guidance: Teacher Mrs. Premalatha shared a short story about the importance of mothers. Teacher Mrs. Senthil Kumari then gave the puja instructions and led the gathering in reciting slokas.
Parent Feedback: Parents shared positive feedback, thanking the school for organizing the event.
Key Remarks & Announcements: President Maharaj spoke about the importance of chanting mantras daily. He also announced that the President Maharaj of the Ramakrishna Order will visit the center in June.
Conclusion
The event ended with a vote of thanks by teacher Mrs. Muthulakshmi. Refreshments were distributed to all parents at the end of the program.
