On 1st January 2025, Ramakrishna Math, Madurai, observed Kalpataru Day, commemorating the day when Sri Ramakrishna blessed his devotees, granting them spiritual awakening. The event brought devotees together for a day filled with prayer, reflection, and inspiration.

The morning session began with Mangala AratiVedic Chanting, Stotras, Tiruppavai and Thiruvempavai Recitation, followed by a special puja, bhajans, homa, and a discourse by Swami Arkaprabhananda. The Swami presented incidents from Sri Ramakrishna's life, helping devotees understand His Avatarhood (divinity). He emphasized that Sri Ramakrishna embodies the essence of all divine manifestations and encouraged devotees to recognize the Master's unbounded grace and surrender to Him, as He is ever ready to bless.

The morning program concluded with the distribution of cooked prasad, with approximately 620 devotees participating and receiving blessings.

In the afternoon, the temple reopened at 2:00 PM, allowing devotees to practice meditation and japa during the auspicious time when Sri Ramakrishna revealed Himself and blessed devotees on January 1, 1886. Hundreds of devotees engaged in silent japa and meditation.

The evening session started with Arati at 6:30 PM, followed by bhajans until 8:00 PM. Inspired by Kalpataru Day, devotees prayed to Sri Ramakrishna for blessings on their spiritual journey.
