Ramakrishna Math, Madurai celebrated the Kalpataru Day, a day-long programme on Saturday, 1st January 2022. A Special Puja to Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishna was performed and Bhajans on Sri Ramakrishna were rendered. Homa was started around 10:30 a.m. and it was over by 11:15 a.m. Swami Kamalatmanandaji gave a special talk on the Significance of Kalpataru Day. After the talk a Special Arati was performed and Cooked food Prasad was distributed around 380 devotees.
Temple was open for devotees to spend time on Japa and meditation at 02:30 p.m., the auspicious time when Sri Ramakrishna, revealed Himself and blessed the devotees on January 1st 1886.
After evening Arati, Bhajans were conducted up to 8:00 pm.
