Ramakrishna Math's Swift Action: Flood Relief in Tirunelveli and Tuticorin
In response to the severe floods that gripped Tirunelveli and Tuticorin districts in the third week of December 2023, Sri Ramakrishna Math Madurai, in collaboration with Sri Ramakrishna Math Chennai, launched a robust relief initiative to aid the affected communities.
Swift Relief Operations:
From December 20 to 28, Madurai Math, in a dedicated effort, distributed 30.4 lacs worth of dry ration kits, providing essential items to approximately 3800 flood-affected families in the worst-hit areas of Southern districts of Tamil Nadu. Sri Ramakrishna Math Chennai and Sri Ramakrishna Math Madurai collaborated seamlessly to extend relief to a total of 5800 families in these critically affected regions.

The relief kit included vital supplies distributed across numerous villages, such as:
