80th Independence Day Celebrated at Sarada Vidyalaya

Sri Ramakrishna Math Sarada Vidyalaya Matriculation School, Madurai, celebrated the 80th Independence Day on 15 August 2026 at the school playground with patriotic enthusiasm and active participation from students.

The programme began with a welcome by the Cubs and Bulbuls, followed by prayer. Swami Nityadipananda Maharaj, President, Ramakrishna Math, Madurai, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. He hoisted the National Flag and delivered a benedictory address to the gathering.

Students presented a variety of cultural programmes, including dances, songs, speeches, a mime drama and a fancy dress parade, expressing the spirit of patriotism and national pride.

The celebration concluded with the Vote of Thanks, the National Anthem and the chant of “Jai Hind”.
