169th Jayanti of Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi (Photos)

The 169th Jayanti (birthday) puja of Holy Mother Sri Sri Sarada Devi was celebrated in our Madurai Math on Sunday 26th December 2021. The celebrations started with Mangalarati followed by Vedic chanting and bhajans. Temple Pradakshina with Bhajans was conducted from 6:30 am to 7:20 am. Special puja began at 7 am and Homam was performed around 10.15 am. Bhajans were sung during the Puja time. Discourse on the Life and Teachings of Sri Sarada Devi was delivered by Swami Kamalatmananda. Cooked Prasad was served to around 440 devotees.

            On the evening of Holy Mother’s Jayanthi Day Adhyaksha Maharaj distributed Sarees to 16 poor women of nearby slum areas.

Special Bhajans and Sri Sarada Devi Nama Sankeertanam were sung after evening Arati, up to 8:00 pm.
