Swami Vivekananda's 161st Jayanti was celebrated at Ramakrishna Math, Madurai, on Tuesday, 14th January 2023. The celebrations started with Mangalarati followed by Vedic chanting and bhajans. Temple Pradakshina with Bhajans was conducted from 6:30 am to 7:30 am. Special puja began at 6:30 am and Homam was performed around 10.15 am. Bhajans were sung during the Puja time.
Discourse on the Life and Message of Swami Vivekananda was delivered by Swami Kamalatmananda. Cooked Prasad was served to around 550 devotees.
After evening Arati, special Bhajans were sung up to 8:00 pm.
