Youth Convention Commemorating the National Youth Day on 8th January
On 8th January 2025, Ramakrishna Math, Madurai, observed National Youth Day, marking the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, with a Youth Convention attended by 1,505 participants, including 1,218 students from 18 schools and colleges.
The program featured talks by Swamis Nityadipananda and Arkaprabhananda, along with guest speakers Prof. Ilango Ramanujam and Sri Adisheshan, who highlighted the relevance of Swami Vivekananda’s teachings for today’s youth.
Students from Sarada Vidyavanam presented “Vijaya Geetham”, songs in praise of Swami Vivekananda, while Sarada Vidyalaya students performed a play promoting the message of religious harmony.
Arati with Conch Blowing on 12th January
On 12th January 2025, Ramakrishna Math, Madurai, observed Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary with an Arati ceremony at 6:33 am, the exact time of his birth.
Devotees gathered near the adorned statue of Swamiji for the event. The Arati began with conch blowing, followed by Namavalis and Bhajans. Participants also offered floral tributes to Swamiji. Around 25 devotees attended the ceremony.
