On November 24, 2024, Ramakrishna Math, Madurai, organized a spiritually enriching Japa Yajnam, which began at 9:00 am with Bhajan and concluded at 1:00 pm. The program featured multiple sessions designed to inspire participants towards deeper spiritual practices:
Bhajan Sessions: Devotional songs set a divine ambiance, performed at the beginning, during intervals, and at the end.
Glory of Nama Japa: Swami Nityadipananda delivered an insightful lecture on the benefits of Nama Japa, emphasizing its transformative power and offering practical techniques.
Introduction & Guidance: Swami Arkaprabhananda introduced the event and guided participants through the day’s activities.
Japa Sessions: Three sessions of Nama Japa were held, each lasting for a minimum of 30 minutes. The silent Nama Japa encouraged attendees to chant their chosen deity’s name while focusing on its meaning.
Readings: Passages from The Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna and The Gospel of the Holy Mother were read, highlighting the importance of spiritual discipline and devotion.
Prayer Guidance: A session on guided prayer illustrated methods to pray for spiritual growth and divine grace.
The event concluded with a heartfelt sense of joy among the approximately 300 participants who found spiritual solace. Prasadam was served to all, rounding off the spiritually uplifting event with a shared meal.
