Sri Ramakrishna Math, Madurai started its COVID relief services from 15th May 2021 by distributing 2000 lunch food packets daily to the needy people in Madurai city areas This has been done through a registered dedicated volunteer team. Our Monastics also visited the distribution points now and then.
This has been closed on 13th June 2021. In these 30 days, Madurai Math distributed 59,200 packets (lunch).
As Part of COVID 19-2.0 relief services, Madurai Math started Ration (grocery) kit (in carton boxes) distribution on 22.5.2021 to the poor and needy. Each kit contains grocery items worth Rs.1000/-.
This relief service has been closed on 28th June 2021. As of 28th June 2021, we distributed 2,300 numbers of Dry Ration (grocery) kits in total, to the poor and needy.
Grocery items distributed in total: Toor dal 4,600 kgs, Black gram 2,300 kgs, Mung dal 2,300 kgs, atta 4,600 kgs, semolina 4,600 kgs, Channa 2,300 kgs, Turmeric powder 460 kgs, Edible oil 2,300 ltrs, Salt 2300 kgs, Biscuit 2,300 pkts.
